If you would like changes in your life, change your thoughts and habits to change your results.

Do an honest evaluation of your life. Has it worked for you? Have you attained results that you wanted and expected in different areas such as relationships, finances, career, etc.? Are there areas where you would like to see changes? What are those changes? If you would like changes, change your thinking and habits to change your results.

1. Have clarity on what you really want and set purposeful goals

“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.” —Andrew Carnegie

“All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible.” — Orison Swett Marden

Let your dreams touch the sky and paint the color you would like to paint. Wonder and think really hard what is it that you really want that will make you feel worthy and connected, appreciate and add meaning to your life, and make you feel fulfilled. Be crystal clear on what you want to achieve in your life. Leverage both your critical and creative thinking. Do not limit yourself with any negativity, limits, worry or fear of any kind. “I don’t have resources and connections”. “I am not so smart”. “I can’t do this”. “I don’t have the time”. Release all this negativity, think of the best version of yourself. Figure out where you want to go and set purposeful goals.

2. Question what you assume in your thoughts

Many times we assume a lot and put limits on what we can achieve based on those assumptions. Rethink what is possible. The possibilities are endless. Stretch your mind to new thoughts.

3. Believe

“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”

Saint Augustine

Once you are crystal clear on what you really want, believe you can do it. You are the channel through which your goals and the things in your dreams will flow. You are capable of achieving anything. If you see obstacles, have the knowing that you have the power to address those. You can overcome your challenges, insecurities and doubts with your internal mind power. Trust your creative power and the generosity of the universe. Believe that you can do the impossible.

4. Change your thoughts, habits and actions

“Depending on what they are, our habits will either make us or break us. We become what we repeatedly do.” ―Sean Covey

“Our character is basically a composite of our habits. Because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character.” ― Stephen Covey

Once you’ve set your goals, focus on the habits that you want to create or change to achieve those goals. Habits are tough to change as habits are ingrained in our subconscious. Break down habits into smaller, more granular actions that you can change more easily.  Start /continue actions which are effective and will help you reach your goals. Remove actions which are not effective. When you take action to support a goal and make changes to your daily activities, new neural patterns are created. Bigger dreams require bigger changes to your actions and habits. You can make quantum leaps if you make major changes to your habits and actions.

5. Train your subconscious mind with repetition

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.” Earl Nightingale

“You affect your subconscious mind by verbal repetition.”

W. Clement Stone

Repeat actions which are congruent and aligned to your goals and create new habits. Repetition is key as when you repeat certain actions, they get ingrained in your subconscious mind as habits. Your subconscious mind and drives and determines 95% of what we do.
